DRISHYA KATHA is an attempt by a few passionate photographers, to spread the awareness of photography among enthusiasts and make Kolkata a favoured destination of photography lovers and crusaders. Unlike all other arts, there is no festival solely dedicated to the cause of photography. There is an international film festival, a much awaited book fair, a theatre festival, but not a single festival for photography. Hence DRISHYA KATHA to make the festival truly international in spirit, we rely on the 4 pillars of exhibition, education, sharing and competition.
